Since Walt Disney World re-opened in 2020 from the pandemic closure, parades have sadly been absent from the parks. They were replaced with scaled down single float mini-parades that Disney named "character cavalcades." These cavalcades were unscheduled so as to avoid the gathering of large crowds during attempts at social distancing. While they are not a legitimate replacement for a proper Disney parade, the cavalcades are a nice impromptu piece of character entertainment that sneak up on you during your park day.
Over the next few weeks, Joe Darthmaz will be bringing you videos of some of these cavalcades, filmed during our recent trip to Walt Disney World.
